Nowhere does the Cannonau grape find better expression than in the Tenores bottling from Dettori. And if you're not familiar with Sardinian reds, this is a great place to start. Dettori was a "natural wine" operation years before such a term existed, and they remain fiercely committed to traditional, low-intervention winegrowing. This is an unashamedly big, powerful, high-alcohol wine of overwhelming aroma and complex flavors. It's bottled from its vinification and aging in concrete vats (no barrels) unfiltered and is biodynamic and vegan.
