Richard Luftig is the former wine director of Lidia Bastianich's Felidia in NYC, and he's distilled his years of wine buying experience into an exceptional one-man operation in Sonoma. Richard's only white is a phenomenally good selection massale Sauvignon Blanc that is a dead ringer for a top-notch Touraine Sauvignon. Not surprisingly, there's plenty of yeasty, leesy aromas and a degree of textural sophistication that comes from extended contact with those lees. We are rarely moved by California Sauvignon Blanc...but this wine is a genuine revelation!
