We're fortunate to have access to the legendary Zinfandels of Rafanelli, one of California's benchmark growers of this variety. The 2021 growing season in Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley was notoriously hot and dry, but Rafanelli's deep-rooted, dry-farmed old vines simply yielded a tinier-than-usual crop of small berries that immediately announces itself in the glass with aromas and flavors of raspberry, cocoa powder and dried herbs. A 10% addition of Petite Sirah concentrates and focuses this unfined, unfiltered legend in the making.
