Vintage charts will only tell you that 2011 was a hot, dry year that yielded hot, dryish Barbaresco. What they won't tell you is that this Riserva, from the best old vines of Sorí Paitin (high on the slope of Serraboella), was Dante Scaglione at the top of his game during his time at Paitin. Superb and already beginning to drink well.
