An immense and important Barbaresco of the highest pedigree. Porcini, truffle, caramelized Demerara sugar. The tannins have largely subsided, leaving a superbly concentrated juice that lingers on the palate, haunts with its still-prodigious richness and demands the finest (and simplest) meal you can possibly conjure. The Cru of Ronchi is Barbaresco's smallest (barely two hectares!), and this is a rare chance to taste a well-aged example from a member of the only family to have access to this fruit.
