One of Châteauneuf's top estates, Mont-Olivet still does things the old way: unfined, unfiltered wines that are informed by Grenache, yet incorporate all the legal grape varieties. Their 2018- like most Châteauneuf- is an engaging, almost Provençal wine, as the crop was thinned greatly by the pervasive disease pressure early in the growing season. This is one to drink and enjoy over the near term...a rare treat!
