Here's a Chinon from the fantastic 2018 vintage that presented itself as a screaming buy from our very first sip. Dark, ripe and corpulent, this is the kind of Loire Cabernet Franc that even pleases people who normally don't like Loire reds. While being typical and faithful to the traditional aromatic and flavor profiles of the appellation, the dry, warm conditions in 2018 have kept the pyrazene (think fresh cut bell peppers) elements to an imperceptible minimum. We think of this wine as a "gateway" Loire red. Biodynamic and vegan.
