
Clos Fornelli's well-sited vineyards are near the ocean on the eastern coast of Corsica. They lie under the massif of Castagniccia, which works with the Mediterranean to generate cool evenings and preserve the freshness of Niellucciu grapes that would otherwise quickly become sun-baked. We adore this wine (blended with a touch of the rare variety, Minustellu) as it's the typical high-aromatics-yet-medium-bodied Corsican red, perfect for an entire range of foods for which you want the wine as a compliment and not as the scene-stealer.
