Mathieu Barret is now fully a known entity among enthusiasts of northern Rhône wines. Here, his all-Syrah entry-level cuvée features richness, intensity, a very classic Syrah nose of spice, bay leaf, smoked meats and raspberry and a lushness on the palate that's suggestive of a more prestigious appellation. We find this more approachable and just as well-crafted as many $40 Syrahs. Certified organic and biodynamic.
