We can't get enough of the Romorantin grape, and this rare variety reaches its pinnacle in the tiny Loire Valley appellation of Cour-Cheverny. François Cazin's "Cuvée Renaissance" was one of the very first of these wines to reach an American audience, and it's been part of natural wine pioneer Joe Dressner's portfolio for years. Aromas and flavors of lime, orange and fennel- with an oily, Chenin-like texture- abound. Cuvée Renaissance is made only in the finest vintages and features just a touch of residual sugar (30g/L in 2018) that beautifully offsets Romorantin's naturally high acidity.
