Here's a fantastic, "no makeup" Merlot from the eastern part of the Gard, close to the Rhône River. It's vinified and aged in large concrete tanks, so the fresh, juicy, lush qualities characteristic of Merlot are allowed to shine. Of course, it's from good, old vines (35-40 years in age) that are sustainably farmed.
