We've become huge fans of Harmand-Geoffroy in recent years, as this old domaine- which dates from the late 19th century- has always done things the way they should be done: no chemical fertilizers, no herbicides and minimal handling in the cellar. As a result, their Gevreys express the full measure of both intense raspberry fruit and savory, almost mushroomy/fishy aromatics that make this appellation the favorite of so many Burgundy lovers. Truth be told, we can think of very few wines that deliver the outright pleasure of Harmand-Geoffroy's superlative reds. Last tasted in May, 2022 and it's fleshed out nicely. Sustainable farming.
