Óbidos is a sub-appellation of the Lisboa region; Arinto is the grape. What we have here is an ocean-influenced white- with plenty of citrus and minerals- that's bigger, richer and more complex than your typical, neutral Portuguese wine. This is a great introduction to the class of wines in Portugal that easily take their place among the finest of Western Europe, yet still manage to speak to place, climate and the indigenous grape varieties that distinguish great Iberian wines.
