Alain Brumont's top Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh is bottled under the flagship label of Château Montus. And were there a Grand Cru for Basque wines or wines of France's Sud-Ouest, this would easily qualify. It displays all the peach skin and spice typical of great Pacherenc, while simultaneously beginning to exhibit the weight and lush texture of an important, ageworthy white wine. Extraordinary!
