Here's Montevertine's "entry level" red, a blend of mostly young vine (note: at Montevertine, vines that approach 20 years old are called "young") Sangiovese, with a splash of Colorino and Canaiolo. And as one might expect, the outcome every year is a wine that puts all but the best Chianti Classico to shame. And as usual in warmer vintages like 2018, the crew has tamed and sculpted this into something special.
