Chatagnier has been considered one of the brightest young innovators in the Northern Rhône since he began cobbling together his estate from tiny, select parcels in the early 2000s. And his white wines are always intensely aromatic and savory, yet perfectly balanced and not marred by the excessive alcohol that plagues so many of the region's whites. His 2019 Saint-Joseph is 60% Marsanne, 40% Roussanne and hails from old vines parcels planted to granite. Organic.
