The idiosyncratic Michel Ampeau will only release wines he feels are drinking perfectly, and this release is still remarkably youthful...so much so that you should be ready to use a decanter and your biggest glassware. It's classic, spicy Savigny, perhaps on a finer, more filigreed frame than Ampeau's 1999 Lavières. Wine arrives mid-November to mid-December.
