Gaetano and Nicoletta Gargano, working in conjunction with Giampero Bea, produce tiny amounts of Perricone (in local dialect, it's called "njuro"...the "black dog") from volcanic soils near the town of Palazzo Adriana, the location of the movie, Cinema Paradiso. Of course, any wine that Bea is involved with is made the Bea way, with his own special organic regimen in the vineyard and minimal handling in the cellar. As with the greatest of Sicilian wines- especially the rich, savory Perricone- there's a sense of both exuberance and history in every glass!
