This is the entry-level Languedoc red of Château d'Oupia in Minervois (and you should check out that Minervois if you haven't had the chance!). It's primarily Carignane, with just a bit of Syrah blended in...and it's incredibly full-bodied and concentrated, given the modest price tag. In fact, we're hard-pressed to come up with a better under-$15 red wine than this brambly, peppery, warming gem.
