The Côte de Brouilly from Thivin hails from 50 year-old vines, planted to metadiorite (the locals call it pierre bleue) on the steep slope of Mont Brouilly. We've always loved this wine, as it perfectly expresses both the majesty of Cru Beaujolais and the power and blue-fruited intensity that can only be found in wines from this special place. Complexity comes from a firm acidic backbone and notes of pomegranate, brambly fruits and spice. Certified organic.
