The Peloponnese region of Ilia is home to the Brintziki estate, Greece's first green winery and a specialist in both traditional and ancient Greek wine stylings. Their Psi White is 100% Assyrtiko, but there's a restraint and balance here (only 12.5% alcohol!) that we find lacking in many heavy, boozy and over-the-top Assyrtiko. It's floral, pleasantly lemony and citric and quite mineral on the finish. Natural yeast fermentation; organic.
