Brunori's Lacrima comes from a tiny plot that they rent in the commune of Morro d'Alba (nothing to do with the town of Alba in Piemonte) and is an excellent red wine foil for all types of richer, tomato-based seafood preparations such as the local cod dish, stoccafiso. There's a spicy, blue-black fruit here, buttressed by excellent acidity and almost no tannin. Practicing organic.
