Boillot's Les Angles is always one of their first Volnay parcels harvested, as the clay soils are rather deep here, allowing for greater thermal retention. There's a very definite cherry-cranberry quality to the 2023, with hints of cardamom, blood orange and mushroom as complicating elements. Exquisite!
