Domaine du Couvent is a property built on the holdings of the former Domaine des Varoilles by Philippe Chéron, son of original proprietor, Dénis Chéron. As most of the original vineyards were planted and tended by Domaine des Varoilles, the vines are extremely old. Their 2023 Chambolle Clos de L'Orme- a village parcel adjacent to Charmes- shows exceptional depth and concentration, with ripe red fruits and a floral overtone. The domaine has opened their cellar for us, so we're indeed fortunate to have this exceptional 2017, just rounding into drinkability. Organic farming.
