Under the hand of Daniel Ravier, Tempier's famous reds have perhaps lost their wild, unpredictable rusticity (in our opinion, not a bad thing at all), but what they now have is a greater typicity and connection to both the Mourvèdre grape and the appellation of Bandol. The 2022 (75% Mourvèdre, 14% Grenache, 9% Cinsault, 2% Carignan) features a fresher, lower-alcohol quality that's rare in contemporary Provençal reds.
