There may be no hotter Burgundy domaine on the rise than the biodynamically-farmed estate of Henri & Gilles Buisson. Their entry-level Bourgogne Blanc is anything but simple, as the following description from importer Neal Rosenthal confirms:
"This is split between estate Saint-Romain vines as well as two small additions--a few purchased plots of biodynamically farmed chardonnay--one from Domaine Guillot-Broux (though I am not sure they want this publicized) and another small organic plot in the Mâconnais. Raised in mostly used oak for one year, this has much of the precision and linear intensity of their Saint-Romains on a slightly broader frame with dazzling orchard fruit." ECOCERT organic.
