Christine Gruère-Dubreuil is the fifth generation proprietor of Dubreuil-Fontaine, an estate we consider to be the benchmark of excellence in the Côte de Beaune. Their Bourgogne Rouge "Notre-Dame de Bonne Espérance" is a fraise-and-framboise, medium-weight Pinot Noir that offers surprising structure and complexity for its modest price. It's the kind of wine we point to time and time again when complaints arise that there's no good value to be found anywhere in Burgundy. Truth be told, there's nowhere this wine could possibly be made other than Burgundy, and the gentle price is an extra reward for our prudent purchasing.
