The Catena family achieved their fame with Malbec, but this Semillón-Chenin blend from good, old vines planted in the Lujan de Cuyo district of upper Mendoza is quite a sophisticated and complete wine. To our taste, the Semillón is in the ascendancy here, with white peach and acacia prominent. The Chenin adds structure, acidic zing and the barest hint of melon. This is easily one of the finest white wines we've ever tasted from Argentina and has set us to seeking out more wines of this quality! Sustainable viticulture.
