Fattoria La Torre stands in a commanding position (yes, there's a tall, ancient tower here) at the intersection of the provinces of Florence, Siena and Pisa. Enrico Angiolini, proprietor since 1975, began the process in 2021 of turning his domaine from a volume producer of around 200,000 cases annually into a smaller, nimbler and more quality-oriented operation, and his first Riserva wine from the Siena slopes, the "Chiacchere", harvested from 25 year-old vines, shows an immediate step up in class that makes us excited for the vintages to come.
