Lusenti’s Ziano Piacentino Pinot Nero is one of the finest examples of this variety we’ve tasted from anywhere in Italy. It’s subtle, haunting, pure and complete in its expression. It’s a bit shy upon opening, but after just a few minutes in the glass, both focus and intensity emerge. As with all the Lusenti experimental wines, there’s a natty element, but it works to great effect.
