Every once in a while, we come across a wine that makes us say "how do they do it at that price?". This is one of those wines. Beyond that, all we can say is this is a Mencía that's both pinpoint correct and offers all the plummy, spicy, almost Syrah-like satisfaction you'd expect from a much more expensive example of this grape variety. Kudos to Pedro Merayo for consistently giving us one of the most striking values in Spanish wine! Organic, sustainable and vegan-friendly.
