Pedro Coelho's Pormenor project moves from one strength to another, as he crafts juicy, drinkable wines from the high-altitude nooks and crannies of the Douro Valley. His "Ginga" red, which is part of the Nat'Cool movement of low/no intervention wines, is an explosive, exuberant effort that's miles away from the clunky, port-like, high alcohol table wines that come from fruit at lower altitudes. Famed consultant Louis Seabra worked with Coelho until 2018, and his influence is obvious here.
