The Felluga family's domaine of Russiz Superiore makes a Sauvignon from the Gorizia district that's a complex, textural and herbaceous. 15% of it is barrel-fermented, which tips it a bit into the rounder, richer spectrum of Sauvignon. As a more intense and sculpted version of the grape, it deserves mention in the same category as top Sancerre or white Bordeaux.
