Tyler and Rachel Eck produce a range of minimal intervention gems from the cool, Pacific Ocean-influenced San Luis Obispo Coast AVA, and their 60% Albariño, 40% Sauvignon Blanc "Dunedelion" is a perfect introduction to the entire lineup. It's whole bunch pressed into stainless steel and clay amphora, allowed to go through a partial malolactic fermentation, then bottled without added sulfur. In less capable hands, the wine could come across as clumsy or imitative of Galician whites, but there's no worry here. Gooseberry, white peach melon and minerals abound! Organic.
