We've felt that this Malbec is a perennial Best Buy and one of the planet's best under-$20 red wines. It's rich, dark and full-bodied, yet there's balance and precision that's unusual for Argentinean Malbec. The diurnal shift between warm, sunny days and cool nights at 2,600 feet in Altos Las Hormigas' Luján de Cuyo vineyards allow for retention of plenty of refreshing acidity in the finished wine and keep the alcohol at a very modest 13.5%. Organic.
