Third generation winemaker Claudio Viberti makes a good, dark, rich and old fashioned Barbera that satisfies without being heavy or clunky. It's named Gemella (the twin) after Claudio's mother, Maria, who is a twin. Viberti is a top Piemontese firm whose wines somehow still fly under the radar and such, their offerings remain well-priced.
