The Castiglione Falletto firm of Vietti refers to this as their "Classico" Barolo, and it's certainly an apt introduction to their house style, which might best be described as true to the spirit of monumental, ageworthy Barolo, while being fleshy and generous enough to appeal to those who don't have the cellar or the patience to wait for Barolo to be perfectly aged. It's assembled from the various crus in which Vietti works, and the 2019 also happens to be one of the great wines of this top-class vintage.
