Fratelli Alessandria specializes in Barolo from the commune of Verduno, located in the northern reaches of the appellation. Predictably, it's cooler than the more southerly Barolo zones, and the best wines show an almost elegant take on Nebbiolo that allows the natural spice and floral qualities of the grape to shine through. We love Verduno because the wines drink well young, and this is one of just a handful of exceptional 2021 Barolo we'll recommend for drinking now (and yes, a good 20-24 decant would still be appropriate!).
