This collaboration between Adriana Catena and Alejandro Vigil, head winemaker at Catena Zapata focuses on rich, almost Bordelaise Cabernet Franc...although there's plenty of the sunny, lower-pyrazene energy that this grape variety is known for in Mendoza. 10% Malbec is added for structure, and the wine spends 15 months in barrique, although the aromas and flavors of oak are definitely not prominent here.
