Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 23 for our first-ever collaboration with Flake, a new Viennoiserie in the West End whose spectacular, sold out-in-minutes baked goods are an absolute must-have for the discerning Ithacan. In just a few months, James Beard Award-nominated baker Max Hull and his wife Claudia have created a burst of excitement in the local food scene with their exquisite laminated pastry creations, both sweet and savory (Insta: @flake.ny).
And on the 23rd, we’ll be offering a special TFWR package of four Flake croissants (our compliments)- lovingly crafted from Farmer Ground Flour and Kriemhild Dairy Butter- and a bottle of Champagne Mathieu Nicolas Cuvée 1629, Brut de Famille NV, produced in tiny quantities by two brothers who are 12th generation Champagne growers in the Vallée de la Marne. We dare you not to go straight home and scarf it all down, but if you have the self-discipline required to wait, reheating instructions will be provided with the croissants!
Naturally, Flake’s coveted baked goods and top grower Champagnes are limited in supply, and we have only 50 of these special Croissant-and-Champagne packages available for pickup exclusively at The Falls Wine Room, starting at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 23.
