Cannonau (Grenache, in the local dialect) is easily Sardinia's best and most consistent red wine grape. The firm of Argiolas literally put Sardinia on the list of islands that produce exceptional wine, so it's no surprise that their version is chock full of strawberry and mineral aromas and flavors. It's beautifully aromatic and filling without being heavy, overwrought or high in alcohol.
