Germain's Chassagne Pinot Noir comes from a 50 year-old plot in the northern end of the appellation. And there's a lift, purity and elegance we always find in this bottling that simply can't be achieved with grapes from the southern end of Chassagne, which tend toward power and rusticity. Along with Gagnard's L'Estimée, there are no better villages-level Chassagnes Rouges to be found! This is an especially compelling wine in the "throwback" vintage of 2021, featuring a rare lift and delicacy.
