The talented Marjorie Gallet has shown the world the potential of French Catalan wines with her phenomenal old vines Roc des Anges offerings, which are now prized by Michelin-starred restaurants all over the planet (and yes, we've managed to secure a bit for TFWR). However, Marjorie is also dedicated to turning out incredible, outperforming values with her "L'Effet Papillon" wines, which hail from old-vines parcels planted near the Spanish border. Her 2025 Rosé is a spectacular effort, dominated by concentrated fraise and framboise aromas and more than adequate acidity. It's also quite dry, concentrated and sophisticated, with a subtle and persistent mineral finish. If there's a better pink wine value on the market than this, we have yet to find it.
