Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, working alongside their cousin (and domaine director), Juliette Alips, have fashioned an achingly rich and sumptuous Blanc de Blancs from vins clairs in the cellars of the former Champagne de Méric, a property owned by American baseball writer, the late Daniel Ginsburg. It was disgorged in October, 2023 after 13 years on the lees and is a unique study in how much creamy, textural interest can be coaxed from the Chardonnay grape in Champagne.
