Portuguese winegrowing legends António and Joana Maçanita make a high elevation Douro red table wine- mostly Touriga Naçional- that’s unusually fresh, balanced and low in alcohol (just 13.5%!). This is the perfect choice when you’re looking for a structured, rich red wine but don’t want all the bombast of the usual Western European suspects. Also of note is the extremely gentle price!
