The historic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is one of Santa Barbara County's oldest, most revered plantings of Pinot Noir, and the Dragonette brothers exploit two old vines plots- one planted in 1972, the other in 1999- to fashion a wine that combines almost feral intensity with freshness and lift in a way that's become the Dragonette signature. Much like Adam Tolmach at The Ojai Vineyard, the Dragonettes pay for fruit by the ton in return for being able to farm the plots organically; we expect the 2021 version of this wine to continue the string of critical successes. Organic.
