Many consider Elena Pantaleoni's La Stoppa to be Emilia-Romagna’s best winegrowers. Raw, wild, unmanipulated wines are their thing, and even at over ten years of age, this cuvée of Barbera is vital and ultra-complex. The slight hint of VA and funk add a level of pleasure and dimension rarely found in natural wines. Until 2012, this wine was called "Barbera della Stoppa", but it's now named after the single vineyard of hardscrabble old vines it hails from: Camporomano. Organic.
