Although the label clearly states that this liqueur is infused with very hot bird pepper chiles, the reality is that this is a balanced, much less sweet liqueur- relative to the rest of the Massenez lineup- with the "sting" of the bird peppers, but not excessive heat or an acrid, lingering, over-the-top finish. In fact, we'd say that this extraordinary elixir manages to be both piquant and subtle! Superb.
