The late Mike Grgich brought California winegrowing into the 21st century, and that is a hill we will die on. Naturally, he’s much better known for his awards and accomplishments (such as his winning Château Montelena wines at The Judgement of Paris in 1976), but his commitment to biodynamics and to furthering the wine industry in his native Croatia are even more impressive.
