This is Ludes' most off-dry Riesling, clocking in at 26g/L RS, and it hails from an alluvial flatland across the Mosel from the famous Ritsch vineyard (Thörnicher Schiesslay, to be exact). Of course, any Ludes wine- even an entry level offering like this one- is going to feature rapier-like acidity and incredible concentration on the palate, and this new addition to the Ludes lineup very much lives up to the house style. If you've ever thought of the Mosel as being capable of only sunny, soft, fruit punch-style Rieslings, this is a fantastic introduction to a linear, deeply mineral, complex style that's the hallmark of the 'New Mosel".
